After many hours in the car we were could feel The Anderson's house in our grasp. BUT, we had one last stop to make. I kid you not, I thought the kids would be full of groans and opposition. However, they jumped at the chance, as seen in the following pics. Thank you Leland, for setting the precedence of visiting the temple, as normal as a stop at McDonald's. Not that I should even use those two places in the same sentence together. Having the kids visit the Temple grounds and feeling the comfort and peace just standing outside in there grubby travel clothes is so great. Hopefully it is preparing them for a lifetime of visits. Its hard to articulate. So in a sentence or less.
I want the kids to feel a reverence and respect for the house of the Lord, at the same time familiarity like this is my Temple and I belong here.
This is one of those quintessential pictures I hope the kids always remember. The Portland Temple is a truly magnificent sight. Its seems like its glowing the walls are so white and the structure is so massive and completely impressive.
Bet you didn't know Leland knows Super Man (he's actually his father).
Profile shot of Danny and I.
Denise documenting the whole experience on Tape. Love her for that!
